one of my favorite artists is maurizio anzeri. his signature technique is taking old portraits and embroidering onto the images, mostly over the faces of the people in the portraits. its such an original idea and i cant imagine how he came up with it, but i just love it. i love the contrast of the black and white images with the colored thread, fabulous!
